webMethods platform and its capabilities
Integration failures between core systems, partners and cloud applications cause delays, data errors and security gaps that business users see immediately. This programme gives integration developers, architects and administrators a practical working knowledge of the webMethods platform: building integrations, managing APIs, handling messaging and processes, and operating the environment securely and reliably.
Many organisations own an integration platform but use only part of it. Services are built without common standards, APIs are exposed without consistent security or versioning, error handling depends on individual developers, environments drift apart, and monitoring starts only after an incident. The result is fragile integrations that are hard to change and expensive to support.
This programme covers the webMethods platform from architecture to operations. It moves through five stages: understanding the platform and its components, building services and integrations on Integration Server, designing and securing APIs, using messaging and process automation, and deploying, monitoring and governing the environment.
Built on recognised practice. The programme follows the vendor's published product documentation and references widely used integration and API practice, including enterprise integration patterns, the OpenAPI Specification, OAuth 2.0 and the OWASP API Security Top 10. Participants learn how to apply them in webMethods, not only what they say.
Decisions this programme improves. Which integration pattern suits a requirement; when to expose a service as an API; how to secure and version APIs; when to use synchronous calls or asynchronous messaging; how to structure packages for reuse and deployment; and what to monitor so that problems are detected before users report them.
How it is delivered. Twenty hours across five sessions, built around one running case: integrating an ERP system, a customer portal and an external partner through services, APIs and messaging. Participants design and build flow services, expose and secure an API, add error handling and prepare a deployment and monitoring plan. Hands-on exercises depend on access to a suitable lab environment, which is confirmed before delivery.
In-house option. For organisations, the programme can be tailored to your own webMethods version, deployment model, integration landscape and development standards, and delivered for development, architecture and operations teams together.

Poor quality in IT shows up late and costs most: defects found in production, services that miss their levels and projects delivered without meeting user needs. This programme gives IT practitioners a practical quality management approach covering software and service quality, testing, process improvement and measurement across the whole IT life cycle.
Many laboratories buy a LIMS and still run on spreadsheets, paper worksheets and manual transcription, because the system was configured before the workflows, data and controls were understood. This programme gives laboratory, quality and IT staff a practical method to define requirements, select, validate and run a LIMS that supports data integrity and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
